An Open Thanksgiving Invitation

A picture from Joye's family farm.

With exam season in full swing for law students at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, it is easy to forget what else is going on – for instance, Thanksgiving is just around the corner!

Many UF Law students are far from home and unable to spend this holiday with their families. No student need spend the holiday alone, however.

Nax Joye, President of the Student Bar Association, contacted The Brief to relay his invitation to all UF Law students so that no one need spend the holiday without good company and a full stomach.

A copy of his invitation is as follows:

Dear Fellow Students,

I know that a lot of you are a long way from home. If you don’t yet have plans for Thanksgiving, you are cordially invited to spend it with me at my parent’s farm in Lake City.

There will be an absurd amount to eat and drink, a massive bonfire, and of course, good company.

My cell is 386-623-7672, text me if you have questions or would like to attend.

Have a great week!

Sincerely Yours, Nax Joye

Regardless of where or how you choose to spend this Thanksgiving, The Brief wishes everyone a wonderful holiday and hopefully a well-deserved break from outlining (even if only for the duration of dinner).
